Applicants interested in UMD Theatre’s B.F.A. program must complete an in-person audition/interview or portfolio review with UMD Theatre faculty, either in Minneapolis, in Duluth, or online (see details under Requirements).
Current UMD students who want to change colleges into CAHSS must:
1 - be in good academic standing* with UMD.
2 - have a University of Minnesota cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
3 - have a University of Minnesota and Transferred Credit GPA of 2.0 or higher.
4 - be accepted to the program via an audition or interview with the Department of Theatre (Theatre BFA students only; audition not required for Theatre BA).
Students are encouraged to visit with a CAHSS Professional Advisor (z.umn.edu/cahssadvising) prior to submitting their application.
*Students who are not in good academic standing (GPA below a 2.0) should meet with a CAHSS professional advisor to discuss change of college options.
