University Policy

All students must meet the requirements stated in the Undergraduate Degrees, Minors, and Credit-Bearing Certificates Policy, including the following:

UMD residency credit requirements for undergraduate degrees include a minimum of 30 semester credits; 15 credits of the last 30 credits; and half of upper-division (3xxx-level or higher) credits that satisfy major requirements.
Undergraduate degree program requirements also include completion of the Liberal Education Program and no more than 20 S/N semester credits.
The University of Minnesota (UMN) GPA required for graduation is a minimum of 2.00, which is cumulative and includes only University of Minnesota coursework from all campuses. Each UMD major, minor, and certificate requires a minimum program GPA of 2.00, which includes transfer coursework meeting requirements for the academic program.

Program Requirements

This major does not require a second field of study (e.g., minor, major, degree).
CpE majors must meet with their advisers each semester. See department for details.
Completion of the CpE "Exit Survey," and a one-to-one exit interview with the EE department head.
