University Policy

All students must meet the requirements stated in the Undergraduate Degrees, Minors, and Credit-Bearing Certificates Policy and the Credit Requirements Policy, including the following:

UMD residency credit requirements for undergraduate degrees include a minimum of 30 semester credits; 15 credits of the last 30 credits; and half of upper-division (3xxx-level or higher) credits that satisfy major requirements.
Undergraduate degree program requirements also include completion of the Liberal Education Program and no more than 20 S/N semester credits.
The University of Minnesota (UMN) GPA required for graduation is a minimum of 2.00, which is cumulative and includes only University of Minnesota coursework from all campuses. Each UMD major, minor, and certificate requires a minimum program GPA of 2.00, which includes transfer coursework meeting requirements for the academic program.
If pursuing multiple programs that include overlapping coursework, students must complete a minimum number of non-overlapping credits for each additional program.

Program Requirements

1. This major does not require a second field of study (e.g., minor, major, degree).

2. 50% of all required major coursework taken under LSBE subjects (excluding ECON 1022, 1023 and 2030) must be taken from LSBE faculty.

3. This program requires a minimum of 60 upper-division credits (3xxx, 4xxx, 5xxx). These credits include coursework that satisfies major requirements, the upper-division International course, other courses taken in LSBE, and non-LSBE courses..

4. At least 3 credits of the 60 upper-division credits must be an International course from the following list. Graduation Requirements:
a. 2.0 or better University of Minnesota cumulative GPA
b. 2.00 or better Required Major Coursework GPA
Students enrolled in Marketing and Graphic Design BBA will not be eligible to major or minor in Marketing because of the curriculum overlap.
