1. Students will iIdentify and describe the formal properties of works of art using the vocabulary of art history (Formal Properties)

2. Students will analyze works of art in their cultural and historical contexts (Contextual Analysis)

3. Students will write clearly and convincingly about art and its related ideas  (Writing Clearly)

4. Students will demonstrate competency in the basic research methods of art history (Disciplinary Methodology)

5. Students will formulate a research question in the discipline and investigate it independently (Research & Investigation)

6. Students will create designs that respond to societal problems (Social Responsibility)
