Program learning outcomes

1. Students will demonstrate knowledge of formal elements and principles of design. Students will demonstrate the ability to organize visual information.
2. Students will demonstrate knowledge of historical aspects of visual art and culture. Students will be able to integrate and/or reference, historical precedent, context and relative currency with respect to discussion, analysis and production of artwork.
3. Students will write effectively. Students will clearly articulate intentions, concepts, and criticisms.
4. Students will demonstrate studio art skill through mediums, materials, tools and processes. Students will exhibit an appropriate level of competency across a range of studio methods.
5. Students will critique and evaluate work. Students will demonstrate an ability to articulately critique visual artifacts, selecting relevant modes of analysis.
