Current UMD students who want to change colleges into LSBE must:
1 - Be in good academic standing* with UMD.
2 - Have a University of Minnesota cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
3 - Have a University of Minnesota and Transferred Credit GPA of 2.0 or higher.
Students are encouraged to visit with a LSBE Professional Advisor (lsbe.d.umn.edu/aas-staff) prior to submitting their application.
NOTE: students in LSBE start as a pre-major and then apply for upper division candidacy when all pre-major coursework is complete and the student has achieved a minimum 2.6 University of Minnesota Cumulative GPA, 2.6 University of Minnesota & Transferred Credit GPA and 2.6 LSBE Major GPA. Please consult an LSBE advisor on the admission to upper division candidacy process.
*Students who are not in good academic standing (GPA below a 2.0) should meet with a LSBE professional advisor to discuss change of college options.
