Course description

Introduction to discipline of Gender and Sexuality Studies - key concepts, issues, and debates. Examination of the interaction of gender with class, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, ability, and geographic location; and the way each of these is socialized. Examination of historical and current national and transnational issues as they relate to gender and sexuality, and of the institutions that shape and impact women, men, trans, non-binary, and gender roles and relations, including academia. Critical analysis skills.
