Course description
This course provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to play a leadership role in a cultural organization. Using case methodology students will know theories, methods, and practices for managing cultural organizations, gain the skills to participate strategically in the governance of such organizations and be able to design and assess the effectiveness of governance models, volunteer programs, organizational capacity, and inter-organizational relationships. Student will also know the legal requirements affecting cultural organizations and approaches to finance the programming and operations.
